Under the New Firearms Act which took effect
in July 1997, many firearm owners will not qualify for a licence as they do
not currently have a sufficient "reason or need" to possess a
firearm. Membership of an approved hunting club and participation in two
approved club "events" per year will provide a sufficient reason. The Club has 6 Rifles & Shotguns (so it is not necessary for a member to own a gun), UHF Radios, a Full Reloading Setup, G.P.S.,& Car trailer for use of Club Members. |
Since for our children to be able to participate in future generations, our sport we seek therefore access to properties to hunt apon. If you can supply a contact or even a relative for the club secretary to contact this would be much appreciated. The club has a code of conduct for Hunting, only members of the club can participate and any breaches results in loss of membership. The advantages to the land owner is both financially rewarding and also to alleviate them of pests for free. We also offer the landowner the same discounts for goods and services the same as members.
The Club has access to several properties (some with exclusive hunting rights) with abundant game and fishing, some within 2 hrs of Sydney and others 6 to 10 hrs away the costs vary between $5 to $50 per night depending on accommodation. There is no booking fees associated with club properties.
The club
also invites 4WD, fisher persons and bow hunters equally to join.
